Un organisme de recherche en France recherche un postdoctorant en philosophie de l'art et esthétique pour contribuer à la recherche sur la pensée écologique allemande. Le candidat exécutera un projet de recherche en coordination avec le responsable de recherche et produira des résultats scientifiques, notamment des articles académiques. Il devra également organiser des événements académiques et collaborer avec d'autres scientifiques, tout en ayant d'excellentes compétences en allemand, français et anglais.

Qualifications

• Docteur en philosophie, histoire des sciences ou histoire de l'art.
• Expérience en recherche de 1 à 4 ans.
• Compétences linguistiques excellentes en allemand, français, et bonnes en anglais.

Responsabilités

• Conduire des recherches originales sur la pensée écologique allemande.
• Collaboration avec le PI sur les aspects esthétiques et épistémologiques.
• Planification et exécution de séminaires et conférences.

Offer Description

The postdoctoral fellow will contribute to expertise in the history of science and art/aesthetics,
especially as they intersect with strategies and tools of visual representation. This role
complements the PI’s focus on 18th–19th-century German philosophy and aesthetics. The
fellow will engage in both scholarly research and project coordination, particularly focusing
on Themes 1 and 2.

Key Responsibilities
Research and Scientific Contribution

• Conduct original research on the representational dimensions of German ecological
  thought
• Collaborate with the PI on aesthetic and epistemological aspects of the project
• Produce a monograph or a minimum of three peer-reviewed articles

Coordination and Dissemination

• Assist in the planning and execution of seminars, conferences, and public outreach
  activities
• Curate the bibliographic database, focusing on 18th and 19th-century German and
  European sources including visual materials such as maps, images, diagrams, and
  genealogical trees
• Contribute to the editorial and content strategy of the project’s website and podcast
  series
• Facilitate collaborations with scientists associated with or beyond the Oecologie
  project

Support administrative and logistical aspects of event organization and project
execution

• PhD or equivalent in:
• German History of Philosophy (18th century to present)
• German History of Science (Biology, Geography, Paleontology, etc.)
• German History of Ideas and of Representations (18th century to present)

German History of Art and Aesthetics (18th century to present)

Qualifications and Skills

• Proven ability to conduct independent research
• Excellent written and spoken German and English
• Fluency in French (C1 level)
• Experience in organizing academic events and working collaboratively

Strong interest in the circulation of ideas and the aesthetic dimensions of ecological
thinking

Languages GERMAN Level Excellent
