Offer Description

The research will focus on the study of electronic transport properties in thin film perovskite materials, with or without the presence of selective contact (ETL and HTL). Particular attention will be paid to the study of electrically active defects and ion migration phenomena under the application of a DC voltage. As this ion migration is one of the causes of the instability and degradation of this material over time, it is crucial to have a more detailed understanding of this migration process and its consequences on the electrical response of the material under applied bias in order to improve the critical issue of perovskite solar cells reliability. These thin film perovskite materials will be studied with coplanar electrodes, provided by a number of partners in the PEPR TASE Minotaure project, and from our international partners. The study will be carried out using a set of optoelectronic characterisation techniques available in the laboratory (see above), in particular photocurrent, photoluminescence and near-field Surface PhotoVoltage measurements. In addition, a time-resolved transient study of photoluminescence and Surface PhotoVoltage will be carried out to study ion migration under different timescales. Further details are available in the attached postdoctoral position profile.
