Organisation/Company: CNRS
Department: Centre de Recherche Paul Pascal
Research Field: Chemistry > Physical chemistry; Physics > Chemical physics; Physics > Biophysics
Researcher Profile: First Stage Researcher (R1)
Country: France
Application Deadline: 10 Jul 2025 - 23:59 (UTC)
Type of Contract: Temporary
Job Status: Full-time
Hours Per Week: 35
Offer Starting Date: 1 Oct 2025
Funding: Not funded by a EU programme

The candidate will work in two laboratories: the "Colloids, Assemblies and Interfaces" team at CRPP (Centre de Recherche Paul Pascal, https://www.crpp.cnrs.fr/) in Pessac, France, supervised by Etienne Ducrot, and the "Bioimaging Optofluidics" team at LP2N (Laboratoire Photonique, Numérique et Nanosciences, https://biof-lab.org/) in Talence, France, supervised by Amaury Badon.
This position involves working within sectors protected by the scientific and technical potential (PPST), requiring prior authorization from the French Ministry of Higher Education and Research (MESR).
The project focuses on developing smart, reconfigurable materials using DNA-functionalized colloidal particles sensitive to environmental stimuli like pH, light, or RNA fragments. The aim is to control the self-assembly of these particles inside permeable capsules, inspired by the adaptive properties of squid skin, to create materials that can dynamically adjust their properties in real-time.
