Role Overview

Do you live and breathe Linux and want to work in the IT department of an established social enterprise? Are you a team player who values good collaboration?

Then we need you! You will actively support our dedicated IT team in day-to-day business. Responsibilities include managing inventory, account administration, provisioning of end devices, support in case of malfunctions, and more. You will handle installation, configuration, operation, monitoring, and expansion of our IT infrastructure. Additionally, you will advise and support colleagues in using applications such as Zimbra, Sage, LibreOffice, and Microsoft Office, whether via phone, at our daycare centers, or in our office.

Requirements for this position

• IT training, training as an IT specialist for system administration, or comparable training
• several years of professional experience
• extensive know-how in GNU/Linux, server administration, mail servers, virtualization solutions, system monitoring tools
• in-depth knowledge of network components/protocols and VPN router configuration
• preferably knowledge in encryption and authentication solutions
• knowledge of SQL, BASH
• excellent communication, consulting, and teamwork skills
• proficient written and spoken German skills
• Class B driver’s license
