Job Description:

About the Role: Join a dynamic team within the banking sector focused on delivering performance measurement, risk analysis, and reporting solutions for fund managers. As part of a long-term Agile transformation initiative launched in 2016, this role supports the redesign and modernization of the performance calculation and reporting system used by Asset Managers and Asset Owners.

You will play a key role in analyzing business needs, designing technical solutions, and contributing to the development and support of a robust Java-based application ecosystem.

Contract Length: 12 months

Location: Gradignan - Hybrid

Start Date: ASAP

Languages: French and English

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze and assess technical and functional feasibility based on business requirements.
• Define and document technical solutions in collaboration with offshore teams (India and Sofia).
• Contribute to solution implementation and hands-on development (approx. 50% of the time).
• Draft technical-functional specifications in coordination with Business Analysts.
• Lead and support complex IST and UAT testing phases.
• Assist users during testing, including defect tracking and resolution (QC/Octane).
• Provide expert-level application support and troubleshoot production issues.
• Participate in anomaly correction and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Create and maintain functional and technical documentation to support knowledge transfer.
• Coordinate with production teams on deployment planning and execution.
• Ensure adherence to quality standards, security, and architectural guidelines.
• Actively contribute to application and software architecture design.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Proven experience in Agile software development environments.
• Strong expertise in Java and Spring Boot framework.
• Proficiency in Spring Batch, Spring Thymeleaf (XML Parsing), Spring Data JPA, REST APIs, JSON.
• Front-end development using Ext JS / AngularJS.
• Application servers (WAS, Tomcat).
• SQL (Oracle and Sybase), including procedures and database objects.
• Linux OS and Shell scripting.
• Familiarity with Sencha Application Architect.
• Experience with DevOps and CI/CD tools: Git, Jenkins, Octane/QC, JIRA.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional and offshore teams.
• Ability to manage reporting, documentation, and stakeholder communication effectively.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Experience in the financial services or asset management industry.
• Knowledge of security, urban planning, and enterprise architecture standards.
