Responsibilities

• The Janitory / Environmental Services Technician will be responsible for overseeing the overall sanitation process.
• Maintain the facility, handle upkeep requests, and assist with other processes related to the sanitation of the facility.
• Empty waste baskets and remove trash.
• Sweep and mop all floors.
• Dust, clean, and polish furniture & fixtures.
• Clean rest rooms, toilets, and sinks.
• Distribute building cleaning supplies, equipment, and materials to all departments.
• Keep equipment and work area clean and in good condition.

• Cleaning: 1 year
• Must meet state requirements

Compensation

$18 - $18 an hour

Environmental Factors

This position requires working in an environment with plant matter and pollen. Areas of the facility reach high/low temperatures with high humidity. Employees may be exposed to dust, plant matter, and particles that affect the respiratory system, eyes, or skin depending on department. Protective gear is required and eye/ear protection are available. Some areas use harsh chemicals for cleaning (e.g., bleach) and involve repetitive movements. Employees should be comfortable working under these conditions.

Physical Requirements

• Able to push, pull, lift, or move a minimum of 50 lbs
• Capable of sitting, standing, kneeling, bending, squatting, and/or walking for extended periods
• Capable of using hands and fingers to touch, handle, feel and grip
• Ability to work with hazardous chemicals following strict safety guidelines
• Utilize chemicals (such as bleach) to clean and maintain facility/equipment
• Must wear PPE (clothing protection), close-toed non-slip shoes, and optional ear/eye protection
