Job summary

ACC Expertise Center Bruges seeks a Senior Infrastructure Architect to lead a team of 6 IT Infrastructure Architects, defining hybrid on-prem/cloud architectures for industrial projects and major technology evolutions.

You will ensure security, availability, DR, and work with vendors, cross-functional teams in an international environment, with remote work options and attractive benefits.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in complex IT infrastructure environments.
• 5+ years of IT leadership experience.
• Master’s degree in computer science or engineering.
• Strong architecture documentation and communication.
• Experience with hybrid on-premises / cloud architectures.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity, DR, and monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of 6 IT Infrastructure Architects.
• Define infrastructure architecture for new projects and industrial solutions.
• Design and review compute, storage, networks, OS, backup, and cloud services.
• Define hybrid architectures integrating data centers, edge, and cloud.
• Ensure designs meet availability, performance, cybersecurity, DR, and operability.
• Review architecture and technical choices with vendors and integrators.
• Identify risks and dependencies early in the project lifecycle.
• Define and maintain architecture principles, standards and reusable patterns.
• Produce architecture documents and support governance activities.
• Support projects from design through implementation, validation and transition to operations.
• Ensure monitoring, backup, lifecycle management and production constraints are considered by design.
• Contribute to technology roadmaps and obsolescence management.
• Collaborate with Network, Cybersecurity, Cloud, Operations and industrial IT experts.

Job description :

• Leading and managing a team of 6 IT Infrastructure Architects

• Define infrastructure architecture for new projects, industrial solutions and major technology evolutions.

• Design and review solutions covering compute, virtualization, storage, operating systems, backup, network, cloud and associated infrastructure services.

• Define hybrid architectures integrating data centers, industrial sites, edge environments and cloud services.

• Ensure infrastructure designs meet requirements for availability, performance, capacity, cybersecurity, resilience, disaster recovery and operability.

• Review and challenge architecture, sizing and technical choices proposed by suppliers and system integrators.

• Identify technical risks, dependencies, single points of failure and operational constraints early in the project lifecycle.

• Define and maintain infrastructure architecture principles, standards and reusable patterns.

• Produce and review architecture deliverables, including Technical Architecture Documents, and support architecture governance activities.

• Support projects from design through implementation, validation and transition to operations.

• Ensure monitoring, backup, support, lifecycle management and production constraints are considered by design.

• Contribute to technology selection, infrastructure roadmaps and obsolescence management.

• Collaborate with Network, Cybersecurity, Cloud, Operations and industrial IT experts to ensure end-to-end architecture consistency.

Votre profil correspond si vous avez :

Knowledge / Know-How :

• Experience in team management.

• Strong knowledge of enterprise infrastructure across several domains: compute, virtualization, storage, network, operating systems and cloud.

• Proven experience designing hybrid on-premises / cloud architectures.

• Good understanding of infrastructure security, network segmentation, high availability, backup, disaster recovery and monitoring.

• Experience with Microsoft Azure and modern infrastructure technologies.

• Experience in industrial, manufacturing or other business-critical environments is highly valued.

• Ability to review and challenge complex technical solutions proposed by vendors and integrators.

• Strong architecture documentation and technical communication skills.

• Ability to work across multiple technical teams and translate project requirements into pragmatic and sustainable architecture decisions.

Experience :

• At least 7 years of experience working in complex IT infrastructure environments. Plus, 5 years of experience managing an IT team.

Qualifications :

• Master’s degree in computer science, Engineering or equivalent experience.

Compensation & Benefits :

• Annual base salary : 90k
