Position Overview

The IT Manager - Controlling and Consolidation will be responsible for overseeing the IT systems, tools, and infrastructure that support the Controlling and Consolidation team in the company. This role will involve working closely with finance and IT teams to ensure the integration of financial data systems, the automation of financial processes, and the optimization of financial planning and reporting tools. The IT Manager will also ensure the alignment of FP&A solutions with business strategies, data integrity, and best practices for financial reporting.

Mission & Responsibilities

  • IT Systems Management : Oversee the administration and continuous improvement of the Controlling and Consolidation systems, including, consolidation, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting tools (e.g., HFM, ESSBASE, Adaptive Workday, Power BI, etc.). Ensure the integration with other business systems (ERP, CRM, BOs etc.) to maintain data consistency.
  • Collaboration with FP&A Team : Work closely with the Controlling and Consolidation teams to understand their requirements and ensure that IT solutions meet the financial planning and analysis needs. This includes system configuration, customization, and troubleshooting.
  • Process Automation : Lead the automation of financial processes such as budget planning, financial forecasting, and reporting. Develop and implement workflow automation solutions to improve efficiency and reduce manual efforts.
  • Data Governance & Security : Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance for financial data. Implement best practices for data governance and protection within Controlling and Consolidation tools and systems.
  • Reporting & Analysis Tools : Support the development and maintenance of business intelligence and reporting tools to provide the Controlling and Consolidation teams with timely, accurate, and insightful financial data. Ensure the availability of real-time reporting capabilities for management decision-making.
  • User Training & Support : Provide training and support to the Controlling and Consolidation teams on new tools and system functionalities. Act as the main point of contact for troubleshooting and resolving IT-related issues within Controlling and Consolidation systems.
  • Project Management : Lead IT projects related to Controlling and Consolidation system upgrades, migrations, or new implementations. Manage timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Continuous Improvement : Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and industry trends related to financial systems and tools. Provide recommendations for system improvements and technological innovations to optimize FP&A operations.
  • Collaboration with IT Teams : Collaborate with IT infrastructure, security, and data teams to ensure the smooth functioning of all systems supporting Controlling and Consolidation processes. Facilitate the integration of IT resources with Controlling and Consolidation requirements.

Profile, Experience & key Competencies

Profile :

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Finance, Business Administration, or related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
  • Proven experience (6-8 years) in an IT management role, ideally within a finance or FP&A context.
  • Strong knowledge of financial systems such as Hyperion, SAP, Anaplan, Oracle, or similar tools.
  • Expertise in business intelligence platforms and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
  • Strong project management skills, with experience in leading cross-functional projects.
  • Proficient in SQL and other relevant programming / scripting languages for system integration and data manipulation.
  • Deep understanding of Controlling and Consolidation processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with finance and non-finance stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of data security best practices and compliance requirements for financial systems. Fluency in both French and English is required; knowledge of other languages is a plus.

  • Experience managing the integration of financial software solutions and reporting tools.
  • Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools (e.g., JIRA, ServiceNow, Agile, Waterfall).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a complex and dynamic environment while maintaining focus on regulatory requirements.
  • Autonomous, organized, and transparent with a collaborative approach to teamwork.
  • Ability to make timely and responsible decisions and manage competing priorities effectively.
