STRONG, part of the SKYWORTH Group, is seeking an IT&Business Central Application Engineer in France to join our IT team. You will own day-to-day support, maintenance and development coordination of our Microsoft-based business applications, including BC365/ERP, reporting, ETL, data integrations and automation.
You will bridge business users, IT, external partners and HQ, translating requirements into practical technical solutions.

We are looking for an IT Engineer to join our IT team and take responsibility for the day-to-day support, maintenance and development coordination of our Microsoft-based business applications.
The role combines Business Central 365 / ERP support, reporting and data integration, IT user support, automation and application project coordination.
You will act as a bridge between business users, the internal IT team, external Dynamics/Business Central partners and HQ, translating business requirements into practical technical solutions.
The ideal candidate has a good understanding of Microsoft cloud technologies, ERP systems, data flows and automation, together with strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Provide day-to-day functional and technical support for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central users.
- Support users across different Business Central modules and investigate errors occurring during daily operations.
- Manage initial user setup, permissions and Business Central licenses.
- Support the creation and management of Sandbox / Test environments.
- Assist with testing and validation of new Business Central implementations and customizations.
- Import and export Business Central data and reports when required.
- Collect user feedback and maintain issue lists during testing, migration and implementation projects.
- Provide user training and explain new functions and system changes to business users.
- Work with external Dynamics/BC365 partners to resolve more advanced issues.
- Maintain and develop daily, weekly and monthly business reports.
- Maintain existing reporting processes and report distribution scripts.
- Prepare and execute month-end reporting activities.
- Develop and maintain customized reports according to business requirements.
- Extract and transform data from Business Central 365 and other business systems.
- Support data integration and ETL processes between different applications.
- Monitor daily data exchanges and investigate data transfer failures or inconsistencies.
- Maintain and improve automated data exchange processes.
- Support the development of data interfaces and reporting solutions using Microsoft cloud technologies.
- Configure and maintain automated tasks and scheduled jobs.
- Manage Business Central Job Queues and related automated processes.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts using PowerShell.
- Maintain existing scripts used for report generation, data exchange and report distribution.
- Support scheduled processes similar to Cron Jobs / Windows Scheduled Tasks / Azure automation jobs.
- Monitor automated processes and investigate failed or incomplete jobs.
- Identify opportunities to reduce manual processes through automation.
- Configure and maintain automated data exchange jobs.
- Support EDI testing and troubleshooting with external partners and Dynamics teams.
- Investigate data exchange failures and coordinate resolution with relevant stakeholders.
- Support data migration, data conversion and interface testing activities.
- Work with external providers on the implementation and maintenance of integrations.
- Provide first and second-level IT support to internal users.
- Troubleshoot Microsoft 365 applications and common Windows issues.
- Support users through email, Teams, remote support tools and other appropriate channels.
- Assist with Microsoft 365 services such as Microsoft Entra ID, Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive and Teams.
- Investigate user access, authentication, permissions and application issues.
- Escalate more complex infrastructure or security issues to the appropriate IT team or service provider.
- Understand business requirements and translate them into clear technical requirements.
- Act as an interface between business users, internal IT and external Dynamics / Business Central development teams.
- Discuss technical solutions and implementation options with external Dynamics partners.
- Follow up on customization and development projects.
- Participate in regular meetings with external development teams to monitor project progress.
- Explain new functionality and system changes to business users.
- Assist with implementation, migration, testing and post-production support.
- Document IT procedures, application configurations and troubleshooting solutions.
- Maintain technical and functional documentation for Business Central, integrations and reporting processes.
- Maintain user guides and provide training materials when required.
- Ensure that critical operational knowledge is properly documented and transferable within the IT team.
The successful candidate will work in a Microsoft cloud-based IT environment, including technologies such as:
- Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
- Microsoft 365
- PowerShell
- Windows Server / Windows
- SQL / relational databases
- ETL and data integration processes
- REST APIs / Web APIs
- Remote support tools
- Experience with Power BI, Azure Functions, Azure Automation, Logic Apps, Power Automate or Azure Data Factory would be considered a strong advantage.
- 2-5 years of experience in IT support, application support, ERP support or a similar role.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, Navision or another ERP system.
- Good understanding of Microsoft 365 environments.
- Experience with data extraction, reporting or ETL processes.
- Practical experience with PowerShell scripting and automation.
- Understanding of scheduled jobs, task automation and system monitoring.
- Basic knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
- Understanding of APIs, data interfaces and system integration.
- Experience working with external software vendors or development teams.
- Ability to analyze business requirements and translate them into technical requirements.
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work with both technical and non-technical users.
- Ability to work independently while coordinating with international teams.
- Experience with Azure or other Microsoft cloud services.
- Experience with Power BI or other BI/reporting tools.
- Experience with Business Central APIs or AL development.
- Experience with EDI, SSO or B2B integrations.
- Experience with data migration and data conversion.
- Experience with Power Automate, Logic Apps or Azure Data Factory.
- Experience with Git / GitHub or basic software development workflows.
- Basic understanding of networking, VPN, DNS, firewalls and Windows Server.
- Previous experience in an international / multi-country environment.
- Experience supporting ERP systems used across multiple European countries.
- English: Professional working proficiency - required.
- Chinese (Mandarin): Plus / advantageous, particularly for communication with Chinese-speaking colleagues, HQ or technical partners.
- Other European languages are a plus.
