Role Overview:

As an IT Architect, you will collaborate with consulting teams and clients to:

• Assess and coach client IT teams.
• Define IT strategies and architectural solutions tailored to business needs.
• Own delivery of project modules and develop technical concepts.
• Work on diverse technology challenges applying architectural consulting skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Developing & Designing

• Analyze complex IT application landscapes and current architectures.
• Identify and advise on complex technology decisions.
• Communicate the importance of architectural building blocks and roadmap development.

Controlling & Managing

• Review vendor proposals and ongoing technical work.
• Manage IT project quality and optimize application development processes.

Building Community

• Advise internal colleagues and fellow architects.
• Build a network within BCG’s technical community to leverage knowledge for clients.

What You'll Bring:

• 4+ years experience in software development, tech project management, digital delivery, or tech consulting.
• Consulting experience with strategic mindset and self-management skills.
• Leadership potential with focus on collaboration across design, engineering, and product ownership.
• Knowledge of development methods, DevOps practices, and continuous improvement.
• Ability to balance pragmatism and standards to guide decisions on cloud services, containers, API gateways, and software choices.
• Experience managing architectural debt, governance, microservices (resiliency, observability, security), and legacy integration techniques.
• Strong understanding of integration patterns (events, synchronous/asynchronous).
• University degree with strong academic record in STEM, IT, or business administration.
