Job summary

Orient Express is seeking a Legal Intern in Intellectual Property and Commercial law for a 6-month program in Paris. You will join a small legal team and support IP strategy, contract drafting, and trademark management in a highly international environment.

The role requires a Master 2 / DJCE in IP or commercial law, at least 6 months of internship experience, excellent English, and strong autonomy. You will work on licenses, transfers, and related agreements, with exposure to external counsel.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree in intellectual property law and/or commercial law.
• Official internship experience of at least 6 months in a company/law firm.
• The internship must be officially recognised by your educational institution.
• Excellent level of English, both spoken and written.
• Agility and autonomy; sense of priorities.

Responsibilities

• Support IP strategy including prior art analysis, instructions to correspondents, renewals and evidence collection.
• Assist in pre-litigation and litigation matters relating to trademarks and domain names worldwide with external counsel; notices, oppositions, UDRP.
• Draft, review and monitor contracts (EN/FR) relating to IP rights: licenses, transfers, coexistence, service, marketing, partnerships, design, photography, influencer.
• Support operational and legal teams on IP issues and contract management.
• Draft and review commercial contracts (terms, LOIs, NDAs, service contracts) and update templates for operations.
• Participate in implementing tools for evidencing trademark use and in contract management improvements.
• Legal research and translations.
