Qualifications

Shift Technology is a leading provider of AI-driven decision automation and optimization solutions for the global insurance industry. Our mission is to transform the insurance claims process with innovative technology and unparalleled expertise. We are looking for a seasoned and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our dynamic finance team.

Under the responsibility of the Accounting Manager, the Accountant translates into accounting all the management acts for Shift Technology.

  • They apply the accounting procedures in force in the company. They control and ensure the accounting sustainability of the elements they deal within accounting and their accounting files.
  • This position is structured around monthly closings and generally involves compliance with many mandatory deadlines (monthly, quarterly and annual).
  • The accountant may take charge, with a margin of autonomy more or less important, all or part of the missions described below.
  • The accountant will be able to coordinate subsidiaries with local accountants (accounting firms) in some cases.

What You'll Do

Accounting and Financial Closures

  • Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
  • Perform bookkeeping for journal entries, cash transactions, fixed assets, and cut-off journal entries.
  • Conduct and review cut-off procedures, including accruals, prepayments, and provisions.
  • Ensure the reliability of accounting documents and adherence to closing dates.
  • Prepare balance sheets, income statements, and manage payments.
  • Oversee debt monitoring, recovery, and expense report management.
  • Maintain and update paperwork and master files, including tax calculations (VAT, CVAE, etc.).

ERP System Management

  • Utilize and manage ERP systems (NetSuite and Coupa) for efficient transaction processing and invoice automation.

Intercompany Transactions

Manage and reconcile intercompany transactions, ensuring compliance with internal policies and accounting standards.

Cash Management

  • Monitor and manage cash flow, including forecasting and optimizing liquidity.
  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations and track weekly cash flow

Audit Coordination

  • Act as the primary contact for external auditors, providing necessary documentation and responding to inquiries promptly.
  • Maintain an organized and efficient workflow to manage high volumes of transactions.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records

What You Bring

  • Autonomy, rigor, and strong sense of organization.
  • Comprehensive understanding of monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes and cut-off procedures.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage high volumes of transactions.
  • Strong knowledge of intercompany transactions and cash management.
  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Additional requirements :

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • At least 6 years of professional accounting experience, with a minimum of 3 years in a public accounting firm. Experience in a foreign country is appreciated.
  • Strong proficiency in ERP systems, specifically NetSuite and Coupa.
  • Proficiency in Excel
  • Languages : English : Mandatory French : Bonus
