Morgan Stanley Investment Management (MSIM) founded in 1975 and with a presence established in Paris since 1996 brings together the asset management activities on behalf of third parties of the international bank Morgan Stanley. MSIM now has more than 30 different investment teams covering all listed and unlisted asset classes. Global Sales & Marketing resides within MSIM. The Sales teams within Global Sales and Marketing provide client coverage across the institutional and intermediary channels.

Role

The French sales team is hiring a Vice President who will be based in Paris covering France intermediary investors mainly. Specific focus is expected on the wholesales market including asset allocators multi-management teams and private banks. Some regional coverage might be expanded to some Benelux based client relationships depending on candidate profile.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Head of IM France Sales this individual will have the opportunity to :

Develop a deep understanding of MSIMs suite of funds and investment strategies

Lead the dialogue with both existing and newly acquired client relationships in the intermediary channel on MSIM services and products

Identify prioritise and target existing and new business opportunities for both public and private markets products to drive sales and business growth

Provide input to product development and strategic direction of the sales team

Represent MSIM in public as appropriate

Pro-actively develop relationships with other internal departments (product management investment teams marketing etc.) as well as across other divisions of the Firm

Maintain create update and report sales opportunities / pipelines / meeting notes in the CRM database

Qualifications / Skills Required

Strong academic credentials from a leading university; bachelors degree ideally in Business Finance or a related field

Strong proven track record in sales with intermediary clientsincluding asset allocators private banks as well as unit linked insurance and retail platforms

Experience in selling both public and private markets investment products is a plus

Similar experience in covering Benelux countries is a plus

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills both verbal and written

Credibility to operate at a senior level within the organisation as well as across a range of external clients

Strong team player ability to collaborate with colleagues across the team MSIM and the broader organisation

A keen interest in and knowledge of the financial markets across different asset classes

Outstanding commercial acumen and high degree of attention to detail

Track-record of being proactive self-motivated and goal-oriented

Entrepreneur mindset

Fluency in French and English is essential
