A leading fashion company in Vernon, CA is seeking an Inventory Accountant (Associate to Senior) to manage inventory-related journal entries and reconciliations. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Business or Accounting, and 2-3 years of relevant experience. The role offers a hybrid work model and a competitive salary range of $70,000 – $95,000, plus bonuses and benefits.

Qualifications

  • 2-3+ years’ accounting experience, preferably in inventory accounting, manufacturing, or retail/fashion.
  • Experience with large-scale ERP systems, particularly NetSuite, is a plus.
  • Ability to analyze large data sets and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Inventory Accountant (Associate to Senior)

Location: Vernon, CA · FT Hybrid (3 days in office)

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and record freight and duty accruals for both raw materials and finished goods
  • Maintain and reconcile in-transit accruals
  • Process brand marketing gifting reclasses and other ad-hoc inventory-related journal entries
  • Perform flux analysis for both BS account recs and month-end P&L entries
  • Compile WIP schedules and book raw material consumption journal entries
  • Create ad-hoc COGS-related entries and put together gross margin reporting
  • Prepare account reconciliations, such as prepaid inventory and accrued purchasing (RNV)
  • Partner with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Product Innovation, FP&A, and Purchasing to ensure accuracy of inventory records and entries
  • Analyze large data sets and run reports to support inventory reconciliations and month-end close activities in compliance with SOX and GAAP regulations
  • Support audit requests and provide accurate documentation
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 2-3+ years’ accounting experience (inventory accounting, manufacturing, or retail/fashion preferred)
  • Experience with large-scale ERP systems (NetSuite, Oracle, etc.); NetSuite experience is a plus
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills; able to analyze information and provide recommendations
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines; collaborative and cross-functional relationship-building
  • Detail-oriented with comfort handling large data sets; action-oriented and solution-driven in a fast-paced environment
Compensation & Benefits

Compensation: base salary range is $70,000 – $95,000 + 5% bonus eligibility, depending on experience, skills, qualifications, and internal equity. A discretionary annual bonus may be offered based on company and individual performance. Total rewards include benefits, perks, and growth opportunities.
