Job summary

Air Liquide is offering a trainee/internship in Paris to support the Process Risk Management team within the Safety and Industrial System department. You will contribute to developing and testing a tool for Safety-Critical Elements, ensuring data management and process safety improvements across sites.

The role requires a Bac+3 to Bac+5 in an industrial field, strong Python skills, and fluency in French and English.

Job description

The trainee will join the corporate Process Risk Management team from the Safety and Industrial System (SIS) Department in charge of:

• Supporting the effective management of process safety in our operations and contributing to the continuous improvement of our safety and environmental performance.
• Leading the process safety community, providing standards, guidelines, training, generic tools and methods (as Hazop-Lopa), advice and support to affiliates, and facilitating the sharing of lessons learned.

How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

To support our teams on a daily basis, we are looking for a trainee/intern who will contribute to the following tasks:

• Help develop a tool to track the activation of instrumented safety loops at our sites (known as Safety-Critical Elements) and to generate test reports for these loops for the Air Liquide Group: for example, the automatic generation of a test report for a safety loop activated by high pressure on a ASU unit.
• Test the tool on existing production units, propose and implement improvements.
• Help to implement and configure the tool for the Group, and prepare communications for the relevant stakeholders.
• Draft an internal user guide for the tool, covering the aspects tailored to Air Liquide.

• Knowledge about SCADA would be a plus.
