CMA CGM Group is seeking an Internship - Group Decarbonization Project Officer in Marseille. You will join the R&D and Energy Transition Department to support the decarbonization roadmap, measure emissions, and develop actions with suppliers as part of a global energy transition effort.

As a Master’s student in Business or Engineering, you will work in a dynamic team, focusing on data, reporting, and sustainability initiatives aligned with the Group’s Net Zero by 2050 goal.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Master's degree in Business or Engineering, ideally with Energy/Climate focus.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken, with strong writing and communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable with data, analyses and reporting.
• Autonomous, proactive, organized, detail-oriented and collaborative.

YOUR ROLE

Within the R&D and Energy Transition Department , you will join the Group Decarbonization team , responsible for implementing and coordinating CMA CGM Group's decarbonization strategy.

You will support the team in implementing and monitoring the Group's decarbonization roadmap, contributing to research, analysis and projects addressing key climate challenges.

Your role will focus on carbon emissions measurement and reporting, the implementation of decarbonization initiatives, and supporting operational teams in their energy transition.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

• You will contribute to the preparation of the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) report , including emissions and energy consumption data collection and analysis, energy transition governance, report drafting, industry benchmarking across maritime and logistics sectors, and the development of action plans to improve the Group's CDP score
• You will support carbon performance management by contributing to the development and improvement of CO₂ reporting tools, ensuring reliable environmental data and monitoring progress against decarbonization targets
• You will analyze key decarbonization trends and levers across the maritime and logistics sectors, with a particular focus on asset decarbonization, operational efficiency and the energy transition
• You will contribute to the Group's Scope 3 strategy , supporting a dedicated task force focused on reducing indirect emissions, particularly those associated with vessel and container construction, through life cycle assessments (LCAs)
• You will help develop and implement decarbonization action plans with suppliers , engaging key stakeholders and supporting the development of lower-carbon commercial solutions

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

• You are currently pursuing a Master's degree in Business or Engineering, ideally with a specialization in Energy, Climate or Environmental Studies
• You are fluent in English, both written and spoken, and demonstrate excellent writing and communication skills
• You are proficient in Microsoft Office tools and comfortable working with data, conducting analyses and preparing reports
• You are autonomous, proactive and demonstrate strong organizational skills, attention to detail and a collaborative mindset
• Your analytical skills, initiative and ability to work effectively as part of a team will enable you to succeed in this role
