Job summary

Axens, au sein de la division Project Operations (POP), propose un stage de 4 mois pour développer des outils de conception : calculs hydrauliques, dimensionnement et automatisation via Excel/ VBA.

Vous serez étudiant en 2ᵉ ou 3ᵉ année en Génie des Procédés, maîtrisez Excel (et idéalement VBA), et pouvez travailler en anglais. Stage sur site à Rueil-Malmaison, avec rigueur et esprit logique.

Qualifications

• Étudiant/e en 2e ou 3e année d’école d’ingénieurs en Génie des Procédés.
• Stage d’au moins 4 mois à prévoir.
• Maîtrise MS Office, idéalement Excel et VBA.
• Anglais opérationnel pour réunions et contenu.
• Rigueur et esprit logique requis.

Responsibilities

• Concevoir et développer des outils Excel pour les calculs hydrauliques et le dimensionnement.
• Collaborer avec des ingénieurs procédés pour standardiser les méthodes.
• Relayer les retours des utilisateurs et préciser les besoins.
• Tester les outils sur des projets actifs et évaluer leur impact.
• Rédiger des guides d’utilisation et former les utilisateurs.

Context:

Process Department is part of Project Operations Business Division (POP). It aims at providing Basic Engineering Design Package (PDP) of various technologies (clean fuels, plastic, biofuels, etc.) or to support project department in FEED (Front End Engineering Design) or EPF projects (Engineering, Construction, Fabrication) of modular units. The intern will join the process engineering team of process department specializing in FEED and EPF execution for modularized units. During this period, you will also work with OPEX (Operation Excellence) Department which in charge of supporting POP divisions by developing new design tools.

Tasks and activities:

• to develop practical tools to improve the execution of modular engineering projects. Your main responsibility will be to design and develop Excel-based applications that facilitate detailed hydraulic calculations, line sizing, and other key engineering tasks used during project execution,
• to collaborate closely with experienced process engineers to identify standardization opportunities and improve efficiency through the automation and digitalization of routine calculations,
• to relay user feedback from process engineers to capture requirements and confirm solution adequacy,
• to test and validate your tools on an active project and assess their impact on project execution,
• to develop user guidelines to support the use of your tools,
• to perform training / webinar sessions to explain your tools to process engineers.

Profile:

Currently, in your 2nd or 3rd year of engineering school specializing in Process/Chemical Engineering, you are looking for a 4-month minimum internship:

• You are curious and open-minded, eager to learn, and want to build your skills in process engineering,
• You are willing to contribute to the development of the process department in modular projects,
• You are comfortable with MS Office (mostly Excel, and possibly VBA),
• Knowledge of fluid flow calculations related to piping systems, such as pressure drop calculations, would be a plus,
• You can work in English (content, meetings),
• You demonstrate rigor and logical thinking.
