Job Description

You are joining our Corporate Loan Syndicate team, within the Global Markets department, which is looking for a Corporate Loan Syndicate, for an internship 6 months from January 2027.

The Corporate Loan Syndicate team, composed of 4 people based in Paris and one person based in London, is part of the ASF Syndicate entity and operates within a joint venture between Global Markets and Investment Banking: the ASF Chain.

Its main objective is to support the origination efforts of the Investment Banking division, in order to set up syndicated financing for French and international companies. In particular, the team is responsible for providing accurate views on market prices and liquidity considered for each transaction.

Responsible for organizing the primary syndications of new "corporate" loans and managing distribution risk, the team is the link between borrowers (via origination teams) and lenders (via sales teams), in order to optimize the prices and liquidity of transactions.

It operates on a wide variety of financing tailored for corporate clients in the EMEA region, in response to their specific strategic needs (acquisition financing, debt refinancing, spin-off financing, post-IPO financing, bridge-to-capital markets, sustainability-linked loans, etc.).

In collaboration with your tutor, your main tasks will be:

Marketing and Database

• Help prepare pitchbooks and other marketing materials for corporate clients in coordination with the bank’s other business lines (Coverage, ASF Origination, ESG, DCM, ECM, Capital Structure & Rating, etc.), with a particular focus on syndication strategy and market prices.
• Ensure the update and maintenance of various databases (price tracking, lender universe, submission of league tables, etc.).

Internal Processes

• Contribute to the drafting of opinions and syndication memos for the "Business" and Credit Committees.
• Provide administrative support and reporting (including entering distribution campaigns in the internal reporting tool Singular, for example).

Run

• Take charge of drafting syndication documents (invitation letter, NDA, presentation of transactions, commitment letter, etc.)
• Contribute to the coordination process between Origination and Sales during primary syndications, Q&A exchanges with invited banks and exchanges with other coordinating banks (if applicable).

Required Skills/Qualifications/Experience

As a Bac+4/5 student, you are preparing a degree from a business school or a renowned university, with a specialization in Finance, Economics, or similar field.

You have prior experience in credit markets, investment banking, corporate finance or credit analysis and demonstrate curiosity about debt markets.

You demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills.

You demonstrate an ability to work quickly and manage multiple tasks simultaneously, while meeting tight deadlines.

You act with diligence, organization, adaptability, proactivity, rigor and attention to detail.

You have a good command of Excel.
