What\'s the role?

The IBD (International Business Development) is a senior role and part of the global Hilti / Oglaend IBD community. As an IBD you will be focusing on a portfolio of Global Accounts (Owners, EPCs, and other nuclear related companies) important for the Hilti / Oglaend business. You will create a strategy and lead its execution to increase utilization of Hilti / Oglaend solutions. You will also coordinate projects in capture teams with worldwide Hilti team participation.

What does the role involve?

Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

  • Accountable for the Development of global accounts operating in the Nuclear power business through account development, standardization, project specification, sales development (direct or indirect) and multi-level relationship management with a view of increasing Hilti / Oglaend share.
  • Accountable for the development of the strategy of the assigned accounts, leading its implementation globally through Hilti & Oglaend counterparts globally.
  • Global account development along with project pursuit at application level.
  • Ownership of the accounts global project pipeline and proactive build-up with segment teams of Hilti / Oglaend capture teams to drive the aligned focus projects and increase share of wallet.
  • Responsible for bringing market intelligence inputs to the global teams to confirm and/or update corporate segment strategies.
  • Focus on project pipeline irrespective of project and sales location.
  • Maintain effective communication throughout the team and company and acting as single owner of assigned accounts.
  • Responsibilities includes travelling abroad when needed.

Performance Indicators:

  • Achieve Standard and Specifications on assigned Account(s) by driving the Hilti integrated system business throughout all project phases.
  • Develop Account strategies to maximize Hilti / Oglaend solution penetration and increase partnership level.
  • Drives and/or supports project capture teams.
  • Achieve Net Sales Plan.
What you need is:
  • Communication skills: Creation of trust through active listening, influencing with leadership, commercial and technical negotiation skills.
  • Industry knowledge in the nuclear or power segment (Utility, Generation, T&D and equipment)
  • Technical know-how in electrical, mechanical or civil engineering and ability/willingness to develop further in those areas.
  • Able to influence internal and external stakeholders around the strategy while understanding external stakeholders’ pain points and trends to adjust it if need be.
  • Self-driven and able to work autonomously: Create own planning and execute to reach the targets.
  • Identify, understand and deliver solution selling based on value proposition and ready to go into the details.
  • Actively looking for new businesses and product gaps in current Hilti offerings and feedback to the organization.
  • Relationship management: Capable and confident while speaking and connecting to different levels in the assigned account structure.
  • Project management capabilities: Manage complexity of system selling across multiple geographies, functions and customers.
  • Networking (internal and external) with confidence while working within a matrix.
