Job Purpose:
Internal sales specialist within a sub Business Unit, focusing on accounts where possible. Deep knowledge of portfolio, processes, and vendor pricing. Responsible for managing all quotes and closing orders. Incentivized based on portfolio performance.
Responsibilities:
- Build strong customer and vendor relationships through proactive engagement and product knowledge.
- Generate new business opportunities through outbound calls and solution discussions.
- Achieve monthly and quarterly revenue and margin targets.
- Develop relationships with internal and external contacts.
- Engage in inside sales activities using various sources to maximize call outcomes.
- Manage customer backorders using specialist knowledge and engage in project fishing.
- Manage projects end-to-end or coordinate with pre-sales for technical needs.
- Negotiate product information, pricing, and promotions.
- Maintain service level agreements with customers.
- Meet KPIs such as customer engagement.
- Promote the company's value proposition.
- Develop partner relationships, including account planning and cross-selling.
- Identify project opportunities and collaborate with Business Development Managers.
- Drive sales of specific products or vendors as required.
- Provide accurate quotations across segments and manage CRM pipeline.
- Manage customer backorder expectations and reporting.
- Maintain accurate customer information in the CRM system.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
- 1-2 years of relevant experience.
- Numerate with attention to detail.
- Excellent telephone manner.
- Strong priority management and planning skills.
- Target-driven mindset.
- Understanding of the sales process.
- Effective communication skills.
- Ability to build relationships.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.
- Experience with quotation, order entry, and CRM systems preferred.
- Knowledge of IT products and industry is desirable but not essential.
