The headquarters of the AXA Group (GIE AXA) brings together our corporate activities. GIE AXA SUCURSAL EN ESPAÑA is a branch of GIE AXA (Group headquarters) located in Spain. The entity is hosted in AXA's facilities in Madrid, but is fully independent from other Spanish entities. The Internal Model Review (IMR) department, the biggest department of the branch, reports directly to Group Risk Management (GRM) and PBRC in Paris.

This job is based in Madrid only

Main Missions
  • Review the local deployment of P&C Group model structure (Harp + Remetrica)
  • Review the local calibration of the model
  • Check the exhaustiveness of modeled business
  • Review the reconciliation exercise
  • Perform statistical quality tests, calibration tests, ensuring that the fitted parameters represent the risk reflected in the historical data, taking into account trends and outliers, including statistical tests and back testing of result distributions, review evidence of fit tests for parameterization of losses, pricing, inflation, and reserve volatilities
  • Conduct back testing, stress testing, “mirror modeling” to sense check IM outputs
  • Provide a “suitability assessment” of the P&C Group model to local specificities, summarized in a written report with an action plan from the entity
  • Review local Cat modeling, challenge data used, projection factors, and robustness of approach
  • Review local reinsurance treaties for appropriateness and exhaustiveness
  • Review the granularity of modeled lines of business
  • Express a second opinion on Group model changes impacting P&C risks
Your Profile

Qualifications and Skills

  • Master's Degree in Financial Mathematics, Statistics, or actuarial studies
  • 3-4 years practical experience in P&C Risk Management, Technical departments, or actuarial audit
  • Good knowledge of Solvency II principles, especially P&C risk modules
  • Experience with P&C reserving techniques and business analysis
  • Knowledge of AXA’s internal model (valuable), programming skills, and IFRS17
  • Proficiency with AXA Group Internal model tools (valuable), P&C actuarial tools (Remetrica), and MS Office
  • Interpersonal skills: ability to conduct interviews in English, challenge entities, write detailed reports, and summarize findings effectively
  • Willingness to travel occasionally within AXA Group entities
