As an Internal Audit Associate within the Model Risk Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning Audit team, you will have exposure to various modeling techniques (AI/ML and non-AI/ML) across all lines of business. You will use this knowledge to shape business strategy and protect the firm. Your responsibilities include designing and developing advanced AI/ML solutions to improve our model risk coverage, conducting independent assessments to identify and mitigate risks across the model lifecycle.

Job Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement AI/ML solutions to automate and enhance model risk analysis and control testing.
• Evaluate compliance with model development standards through data-driven analysis and collaboration with stakeholders.
• Document technical reports and communicate findings effectively to stakeholders including the Chief Auditor.
• Identify weaknesses in the firm’s model risk management framework.
• Set and improve standards for model risk control assessments.
• Lead model risk analysis and control assessments across business lines.
• Validate solutions addressing regulatory issues related to model risk management.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

• PhD or Master’s in related fields such as Mathematics, Data Science, Financial Engineering, or Computer Science.
• 2+ years in AI/ML product development, model validation, data science, or related roles.
• Strong communication skills for technical reporting and influencing change.
• Proficiency in programming languages like Python or R.
• Experience with AI/ML solutions and frameworks ensuring code quality.
• Knowledge of statistics, derivative pricing, and ML techniques.
• Risk-aware mindset with the ability to analyze and escalate issues.
• Critical thinking and quantitative skills for risk analysis.
