Job summary

European Space Agency (ESA) seeks a student intern for the Director General's Cabinet, Senior Security Coordinator's Office in Paris. You will support policy analysis on civil security and space defense, monitor space capabilities, and explore European commercial space strategies under guidance from the Office of the DG.

Fluent knowledge of English or French is required; knowledge of additional ESA languages is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must be a university student, preferably in the final or second-to-last year of a Master’s program, able to prove enrollment for the duration of the internship.

Responsibilities

• Identify national policies of European states and allies, EU, and competitors related to civil security/safety/protection.
• Monitor national space capabilities and their link to security applications; assess how they can network to support the ERS programme.
• Investigate how ESA can contribute to European commercial space champions and translate the US Space Force Commercial Space Strategy to the European context.
