Job Description:

Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled in-house counsel to support IP legal transactional matters at Schneider Electric. The role involves working with R&D and cross-functional teams on complex IP issues, including drafting and negotiating agreements, ensuring legal compliance, and supporting organizational policies.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Partner with R&D to support collaborations and contribute to strategic planning.
2. Draft, review, and negotiate transactional documents such as licensing, joint development, and collaboration agreements.
3. Support commercial legal teams with IP clauses in agreements.
4. Identify and mitigate IP risks across the organization.
5. Ensure compliance with IP laws and develop internal policies and training.
6. Collaborate with external counsel as needed.
7. Stay updated on legal developments in IP law.

Requirements:

1. Master 2 in IP Law from a recognized French/European university.
2. At least 8 years of experience as a qualified lawyer in IP law, in-house or at a reputable law firm.
3. Fluency in French and English.
4. Proven experience in drafting and negotiating IP agreements.
5. Strong knowledge of IP laws including patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets.

Preferred:

1. Qualified professional representative in France.
2. Experience in multinational environments and policy development.
3. Ability to manage external counsel.
4. Knowledge of additional languages (German or Spanish) is a plus.
