Insurance Legal Specialist (Common Law) - Fully Remote Position, Saint Valentin

Join an international environment focused on hydro projects, reporting to the Group Insurance Director. This role requires technical expertise in liability and cyber insurance, risk management, contract review, and M&A support within an international context.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Liability Insurance Line Management: Renew and place global master general and professional liability policies annually. Coordinate local and project-specific policies. Collaborate with brokers, insurers, and consultants to ensure policies meet business needs. Manage complex global third-party liability claims, communicating strategies to maximize coverage.
  2. Cyber Insurance Line Management: Renew and place global cyber insurance policies annually. Collaborate with IT and internal teams. Lead cyber incident response planning.
  3. Risk Management: Analyze loss data, identify exposures, recommend solutions, and monitor compliance with insurance procedures.
  4. Contract Review: Review and negotiate customer insurance requirements in EPC contracts to ensure compliance with master insurance programs.
  5. M&A Support: Solicit quotes for reps and warranties insurance, analyze offers, and support M&A teams.
Qualifications:
  • Preferably legal education, with common law experience preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in insurance, law firms, or related departments of international companies.
  • Deep understanding of third-party liability insurance and global insurance programs.
  • Ability to work in a global setting, including international travel.
  • Excellent communication skills in English; German is a plus.
  • Independent, precise, and problem-solving working style.
  • Strong team spirit and commitment.
Additional Details:

Fully remote position with potential business trips within the EU and US.

Salary: €60,000 - €85,000 + up to 15% MBO + benefits.
