Insulation Labourers x16 - Grangemouth KG TAR

The TAR window is from 17th August to 5th October, covering pre- and post-TAR works. Recruitment begins on 22nd July for a portion of the workforce, with an anticipated end date in mid to late October.

Minimum requirements for Insulation Labourers include previous experience working with TIEs or within petrochemical plants, along with one of the following safety certifications: CITB Health, Safety & Environment certificate, CCNSG Safety Passport, or equivalent safety training.

NAECI pay rates apply, with a £2.37 2nd tier bonus during the TAR window and £1 at other times. The work involves 6 days per week, 57 hours per week.

Key functions

Perform duties in compliance with:

• Altrad and client health and safety procedures
• Maintaining health and safety during thermal insulation activities
• Assisting Thermal Insulation Engineers with insulation tasks

Main Duties & Responsibilities

• Understand and adhere to Altrad's health and safety policies
• Participate effectively in pre-job briefings
• Work effectively within a team environment
• Understand method statements and risk assessments to perform tasks safely
• Select appropriate insulation materials and finishes for various applications and environments
• Use tools and equipment correctly and ensure they are maintained
• Identify and escalate health and safety risks, report defects
• Assist tradespeople with insulation material removal and replacement
• Follow instructions from supervisors professionally
• Maintain good housekeeping and tidy work areas
• Report any accidents, incidents, and near misses immediately to the Site Supervisor or Site Manager
