Cover all types of activity to support the business generation together with External Sales.
Responsibilities and Tasks
All customer-related administrative business creation activities:
- Keep Customer Cross Reference files up-to-date in line with agreed contracts and quotations on a global basis (other RMC to advise) by providing the sales prices to Customer Service.
- Sample order processing and follow-up together with External Sales to optimize the opportunity for Murata’s products to be included in new designs.
- Master file maintenance in cooperation with Customer Service to facilitate the day-to-day management of the customer’s account.
- Maintain accurate customer information to keep a clear record of customers’ specific requirements.
- Coordinate the quotation process with External Sales: prepare calculations, conduct annual negotiations, manage quotations; maintain (global) price files and follow-up activities (adhering to internal regulations and Export Control regulations).
- Register and maintain special global price groups.
- Join customer visits with External Sales when needed (e.g., annual negotiations, Logistics/SCM, etc.).
- Continuously monitor sales margins and collaborate with External Sales to take countermeasures when necessary.
- Track sales figures of customers together with Sales and Business Planning.
- Manage global LOI tracking and shortage management in collaboration with Global Account Management.
- Support contract management in cooperation with Customer Service and other operational departments (SCM topics, lead times, appendices, etc.).
- Maintain excellent working relations with customer contacts.
- Facilitate smooth communication and positive cooperation between Inside Sales and other Murata departments.
- Follow up with External Sales on timely customer payments and resolve issues (e.g., price differences, Debit/Credit Notes, etc.).
- Support internal and external projects.
Required Knowledge/Experience
- Secondary school level or comparable commercial education with at least 3 years of professional experience.
- Experience with ERP systems (USSO/AS400, SAP, etc.).
- Proficient in English and the local language, both spoken and written.
- Good skills in standard software (MS Office, etc.) and Murata-specific software.
- Basic product knowledge.
- Basic understanding of Quality Management.
