Innovation Intern Development of a Robot Gripper System

Your mission, roles and responsibilities

We are looking for an innovation intern to join our team! Our Interiors activity is looking for an intern for its R&D Center based in Méru (50 minutes from Paris Gare du Nord, 30 minutes from Cergy). Our R&D Center designs dashboards, door panels, and central consoles to equip the vehicles of tomorrow. Thermoplastic injection is the main technology of our Division. The intern will have the mission to develop an innovative gripping system for an injection press robot. The objective of the mission is the study, fabrication, and real validation of the gripper (test on our R&D press - with 6-axis robot).

Your missions:

1. Conduct a state-of-the-art review of grippers (more than 6000 systems in production).
2. Establish the specifications for the new system.
3. Research new solutions and study the design of the gripper.
4. Manufacture the gripper.
5. Validate the functionality and confirm the achievement of objectives.

This mission will start in 09/2025 for a duration of 6 months.

Your profile and competencies to succeed

1. General engineering school or mechanical option, BAC+4 to BAC+5.
2. Specific technical skills: mechanics, CAD, project management, additive manufacturing.
3. Good oral communication, synthesis ability.
4. Language level: English and French are mandatory.
