The Process & Product Implementation (PPI) Engineer has three main objectives:

  1. Lead the implementation of new products, processes, and packaging (equipment/lines) in the factory.
  2. Promote continuous improvement of capabilities across all changes affecting processes, products, and packaging.
  3. Manage complex problem-solving using advanced techniques and Six Sigma methodologies, supporting Mars Supply Excellence initiatives.

The PPI engineer also plays a role in change management, coordinating projects across local, regional, and global teams.

Qualifications
  • University degree in engineering, agro-food, or equivalent qualification.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in supply chain, engineering, process technology, or manufacturing.
  • Project management experience.
  • Experience in quality, R&D, or continuous improvement.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in French and English.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute R&D strategies to enhance growth, quality, and efficiency, implementing innovations related to equipment, processes, and packaging.
  • Lead line trials, complete test reports, and provide technical insights to the global R&D industrialization team throughout project cycles.
  • Establish operational control systems, manage change, industrial go-aheads, handovers, and project qualification reviews for product launches.
  • Participate in regional PPI technology platforms, share best practices, and transfer knowledge across sites.
  • Coordinate cross-functional projects to improve efficiency and effectiveness ('Do it Best').
  • Support safety, quality, and environmental improvements in collaboration with Q&FS and HSE teams.
  • Contribute to investment submissions by identifying and evaluating benefits.
  • Work on new standards and define SRCs (Standard Running Conditions) for relevant scopes.
  • Collaborate with operational and technical departments to validate and deploy standard definitions.
  • Assist the CI team in KPI analysis to identify key improvements and increase operational capacity.
  • Leverage expertise to resolve complex operational problems using Six Sigma tools.
  • Develop training modules to enhance team capabilities, especially in processes like grinding, extrusion, and packaging.
