Job Description

GERSER-BEST Paris agency is seeking a confirmed workstation engineer for one of its major clients.

In deployment projects, you will ensure the installation and operational guarantee of IT and/or telephone equipment (hardware and software) related to the workstation. At user request, you will perform maintenance (remote or on-site) of these equipment and handle incidents. Your missions will also include:

1. Ensuring the proper functioning of PCs and engineering calculations:
   • Define and maintain software configurations with business referents
   • Test and install new versions before creating deployment packages
   • Test packages before deployment
   • Maintain technical relations with software publishers
2. Ensuring the proper functioning of centralized Windows IT resources (Windows VMs):
   • Daily monitoring of the centralized resources to ensure software and hardware are operational
   • Act as the interface between users and the IT provider
   • Manage technical relations with software publishers
   • Handle requests outside the provider's scope or requiring expertise
3. Maintaining relationships with user representatives:
   • Follow up on user requests to ensure proper handling
   • Inform users about progress and issues
   • Serve as the single technical contact for user referents
   • Address specific requests and advise on software purchases

Profile

With a background in IT (Bac+), you have at least an experience years in a similar role.

You have excellent mastery of VMWARE and Redhat. Software such as LS-DYNA, PEPS, COMSOL, ANSYS, FATHOM, ASPEN are well known to you.

You demonstrate listening skills and possess good analytical and synthesis abilities.
