Job Description:

SYNTEGON Telstar France (formerly USIFROID) is a division of the SYNTEGON group, a global leader in manufacturing, modernization, and technical support of machines for the pharmaceutical and food industries. Specializing in pharmaceutical lyophilizers, our team (currently 16 members) is experiencing rapid growth to meet increasing demand for maintenance, retrofits, and compliance upgrades of critical equipment.

We are recruiting an experienced maintenance engineer, passionate about technology and ready to work independently on-site. Your responsibilities will include performing preventive and corrective maintenance, upgrades (retrofits), and technical updates of industrial lyophilizers for pharmaceutical clients in France and abroad, ensuring high-quality interventions, thorough documentation, and excellent client relations.

Maintenance & Technical Expertise

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on pharmaceutical production lyophilizers (refrigeration, vacuum, automation, mechanical).
• Write intervention reports according to pharmaceutical quality standards (GMP).
• Execute complete retrofit operations: replacing tanks, heat exchangers, electrical panels, control systems, etc.
• Conduct functional tests at project completion and monitor performance post-intervention.

Project Management & Client Relations

• Manage your projects independently, maintaining high technical and documentation standards.
• Serve as the primary on-site contact for clients (production, maintenance, quality).

Qualifications:

• Degree: Bac +2 to Bac +5 (BTS/DUT, bachelor’s or engineering school) in refrigeration engineering, industrial maintenance, automation, or mechanical engineering.
• Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience in industrial maintenance or complex refrigeration under vacuum environments.
• Skills in mechanics, industrial electrical systems, automation (reading diagrams, diagnostics, component replacement).
• Interest or knowledge in regulated pharmaceutical environments (GMP, validation).

Additional Skills:

• Enjoyment of fieldwork, technical challenges, and versatility.
• Professional technical English or willingness to improve it (documentation, international client communication).
