Hitachi Rail France is strengthening its team and recruiting a Software Development Engineer for tools and simulators (M/F) on a permanent contract at its Ulis site (91) – headquarters.

Context:

Hitachi Rail France handles numerous signaling projects worldwide. The time between contract notification and commissioning has been decreasing, leading to increased automation in configuration and validation processes, including advanced testing methods simulating real site conditions.

The position we offer:

Within the France competency center and its tools and simulation service, you will participate in defining and implementing new functionalities for project tools and simulators. Your main missions include:

• Collaborating with engineering teams to specify and define needs
• Developing the targeted tools (FAST, TCL-IOP, WhiteBox, etc.) within the project scope
• Adding necessary documentation for qualification purposes according to standard 50128:2011
• Gradually acquiring system skills through interactions with various system components (hardware, software, functional, etc.)

Working modalities:

• Full-time
• Partial remote work possible (up to 2 days per week)
• Occasional travel depending on projects

Location:

• At the Courtabœuf Business Park
• Easy access: by car via A10/A11 and N118, or bus n°22 from Massy Palaiseau RER station (RER B and C)

Your profile:

With a Bac+5 degree, you are a graduate of an engineering school or university, or possess equivalent knowledge or experience. This position requires:

• At least 1 year of experience
• Proficiency in software development and common languages (Python, Java, C++, C#); knowledge of Tcl/Tk is a plus
• System analysis skills (knowledge of railway environment is a plus)
• Knowledge of data modeling (XML (RailML), JSON, etc.) and databases (SQL)
• Enjoyment of teamwork and contact with others
• Service-mindedness and adaptability
• Rigor and initial understanding of constrained methodological processes
• Proficiency in French and English, both conversational and technical, to work effectively in our international and multicultural environment
