NEUROMODULATION DIVISION:

The Neuromodulation division of Abbott is advancing the treatment of chronic pain and movement disorders. Our therapies aim to help individuals become more active while reducing healthcare costs and dependence on medication.

YOUR ROLE AS A PRACTICAL ENGINEER:

The Neuromodulation division offers an APPLICATION ENGINEER APPRENTICESHIP IN NEUROMODULATION, based in the Lille region.

As an application engineer, you will provide clinical and technical support during surgical procedures and monitor implanted devices.

YOUR CHALLENGES:

  • Provide technical assistance to medical staff during pain treatment procedures involving device implantation and follow-up.
  • Manage hands-on training for users.
  • Ensure traceability and compliance of devices within your scope: perform device checks according to directives.
  • Investigate and analyze device-related incidents in accordance with materials vigilance rules.
  • Conduct competitive intelligence and develop your product expertise.
  • Act as a liaison between the sales force and the technical management.
  • Collaborate across teams with sales and marketing departments.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Background in scientific or technical fields related to biomedical sciences.
  • At least one experience in medical devices or hospital environment.
  • Organized and autonomous.
  • Willingness to travel extensively, mainly in Western France.
  • Recognized for teaching skills, ability to prioritize, and commitment to high quality and service standards.
  • Proficiency in professional English is required for successful participation in the apprenticeship, given our international environment, especially for training purposes.
