I&O (Infrastructure & Operations) Change & Configuration Manager

• Location: Fully remote

The IT Infrastructure & Operations Manager will oversee change and configuration management processes within our client Group's Infrastructure and Operations (I&O) department.

This role is critical in driving digital transformation efforts and ensuring efficient IT service delivery across multiple countries.

The ideal candidate is a capable ITSAM Change Manager with experience managing change environments in a sizable organization.

They should also have a solid understanding of Configuration Management (CMDB), with strong knowledge to engage with CIOs, etc. (No need to build the CMDB from scratch).

In addition to operational skills, we seek someone comfortable working in an immature environment undergoing process changes to improve maturity.

Someone to help us build out these two processes.

• Specific experience with change management in infrastructure environments
• Expertise in CMDB and configuration management tools
• Focus on process improvement and maturity development in I&O settings

Key Responsibilities

Change Management

• Develop and implement best-practice change management processes
• Oversee the change request lifecycle, including risk assessment and impact analysis
• Coordinate Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings and maintain a forward schedule of changes

Configuration and Asset Management

• Establish and maintain Asset & Configuration Management processes aligned with industry best practices
• Ensure the accuracy and integrity of the Configuration Management Database (CMDB)
• Manage IT asset lifecycle, from procurement to disposal

Service Delivery Optimization

• Collaborate with I&O domain heads and product teams to enhance service quality
• Drive consistency in I&O service delivery across the organization
• Align IT services with business needs and strategic vendor relationships

Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum 5 years of experience in IT Service Management and Operations
• Experience with EasyVista or equivalents (ServiceNow, Freshservice, Jira Service Management, BMC Helix ITSM, Zendesk)
• Proven team management experience within matrix organizations
• Strong knowledge of IT operations, including hosting, network, cloud, and workplace services
• Experience in IT financial management and KPI-driven service delivery
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• Fluency in both French and English

Technical Environment

• Oversight of three Data Centres and Public Cloud infrastructure
• Management of 1500 office and industrial sites across France
• Responsibility for 1300 servers, 6000 Windows workstations, 8000 Android devices
• Coordination of 250 Business Applications
• Full remote work environment
• Collaboration with internal and offshore teams
• Interaction with hosting, SaaS, and telecom service providers
• Building a new Service Management system, involving flux and uncertainty
• Seeking a capable Operational Change & Configuration Manager to run IT Change processes and set up functions (not a Business Change Manager role)
