CNRS's Laboratoire de Physique des Gaz et des Plasmas in Saclay seeks a First Stage Researcher to explore dark discharges and Townsend phenomena, focusing on UV-induced charge multiplication and its applications.

The project combines material science, numerical modeling and vacuum technologies; you will develop models, run simulations and coordinate experiments at LPGP and with SAFRAN group to validate theory.

Qualifications

• Interest in dark discharges and Townsend phenomena.
• Background in physics, materials science or plasma physics.
• Ability to develop numerical models and compare with experiments.

Responsabilités

• Investigate dark discharges under UV flux.
