Job summary

Epiqor is seeking a research engineer to optimise plasma-catalytic processes and scale up the reactor at the Laboratory of Plasma Physics (LPP), École Polytechnique, Palaiseau, France.

You will develop catalysts to enhance plasma–catalyst synergy, map operating parameters, and help design a semi-industrial pilot while ensuring safety and reproducibility.

This role supports the project funded by SATT Paris-Saclay and DIM MaTerRE, with the goal of establishing a startup in 2027.

Qualifications

• Experience in heterogeneous catalysis.
• Experience in plasma physics would be an advantage.
• Scientific programming skills (MATLAB or Python) for data processing.
• Ability to work across several disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Optimise plasma-catalytic processes to improve reactor performance.
• Scale up the reactor to semi-industrial pilot and contribute to design decisions.
• Develop safety protocols and support IP/patent activity.
