Within the RSC Operations department, under the leadership of Christophe ARCHES, VP RSC Operations, the Industrial & Performance Director is responsible for establishing and deploying global industrial standards, both process and tools, define, report and drive improved operational performance and manage industrial competency development of the Alstom Rolling Stock and Components product line by:

  • Developing best practice industrial process and tools (the Way of Working) and set Manufacturing standard solutions (tools, equipment,…)
  • Creating, deploying and actioning improvements of key performance indicators
  • Developing footprint, supporting sites improvement action plans to improve competitiveness
  • Preparing the future, by leading innovations in Industrial Automation and Robotics
  • Ensuring network animation and competencies development for the worldwide industrialization, manufacturing and test/commissioning departments
  • Managing the World Class Manufacturing process and Special Process Expertise networks
You will be accountable to:

Animate the Metiers :

  • Region/Site Industrial Operations
  • Industrialization / Process & Manufacturing Engineering (PME)
  • Manufacturing, General Services & Maintenance
  • Development and deployment of Industrial Operations process & tool standards in compliance with the Alstom Management System and applicable rail standards (ISO, IRIS, …)
  • Carbody, Fitting, Electrical, Test and Commissioning domains

Bring operational support to our industrial development

  • Development of sites industrial maturity
  • Automation and Robotics
  • Operational support on critical sites and specific missions
  • World Class Manufacturing for RSC and associated expertise domain leadership
  • APSYS roadmap for Industrialization (PME) and Shop Floor
  • Tooling Center of Excellence

Report our performance, efficiency, and development

  • Industrial performance measurement
  • Industrial improvement actions plans
  • Leadership of RSC Operations Academy

Educational Requirements : Engineering or Master Degree level education, preferable in manufacturing, mechanical or electrical disciplines.

Experience : minimum 15 years’ experience with significant industrial environment including 10 years of industrial management.

  • Master the industrialization and production processes and the associated technologies of building rolling stock and its components
  • Has demonstrated ability to manage large industrial scale projects meeting/exceeding aggressive schedule and cost targets.
  • Global view of business and relationships between different Areas.
  • Good Interpersonal relationship / Team worker / Leadership
  • Be able to convince different interlocutors, internally and externally
  • Strong application of situational leadership and management skills
  • Good capacity of analysis and synthesis. Be able to take a holistic view in making decision
  • Solution oriented, be able to take decision and solve problems quickly
  • Able to speak fluent English, French would be beneficial
