Career Opportunities: Industrial data & performance specialist (80750)

The company has finalized a bold strategic move to become an electrification pure player.

Digital business transformation is a journey to adopt and deploy digital technologies and business models to improve performance quantifiably. The first step is to grasp the need for change—an imperative driven by the inevitability of digital disruption. Digital disruption now has the potential to overturn incumbents and reshape markets faster than perhaps any force in history. Simply put, digital disruption is the effect of digital technologies and business models on a company’s current value proposition, and its resulting market position.

Nexans has launched key partnerships in the digital area in order to amplify its transformation.

  • Nexans partners with Schneider Electric on digital transformation program to bring industrial 4.0 to plant operations and amplify sustainability. The aim is to accelerate the transformation of Nexans into a business driven by clear, rich and actionable data as the foundation for improved business performance, safety and flexibility.
  • Nexans announced a collaboration with Microsoft to electrify the future by accelerating the development of digital solutions , developing enhanced artificial intelligence (AI) and cloud solutions as the foundation for digital services and solutions that will drive the global energy transition.

During the last years, a Group-wide digitalization program has been rolled out across more than 40 manufacturing sites. This program has established solid foundations in areas such as Fabriq, MES, IoT, and data analytics. The Group is now entering a new phase, focused on consolidating existing gains, ensuring continuity, and defining the next frontier of its industrial transformation. Key new challenges include integrating artificial intelligence into core processes and initiating a strategic vision for plant robotics. This role is central to structuring and driving these innovation tracks in a scalable, sustainable, and business-aligned way.

Areas of responsibilities

  • Own and maintain industrial performance dashboards, ensuring alignment with business needs and operational realities.
  • Coordinate with other data stream owners (ERP, Supply Chain, etc.) to identify synergies and data visualization opportunities across the organization.
Performance Analysis & Improvement Support

  • Translate operational challenges into data-driven insights, KPIs, and analytical use cases.
  • Support performance benchmarking, monitoring, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Data Products, Tools & Stakeholder Collaboration
  • Design, develop, and deploy standardized dashboards, KPIs, and analytics tools for industrial sites.
  • Work closely with site teams, performance leaders, and IT/digital stakeholders to ensure tools are usable and adopted.
  • Onboard users onto data tools and platforms by building engagement and motivation rather than relying on hierarchical authority, fostering genuine ownership and sustained adoption.
  • Provide support, documentation, and training to key users to enable effective use of data tools.
Profile
  • 3–5 years of experience in industrial data, manufacturing analytics, performance analysis, or a related field.
  • Solid understanding of industrial data flows from shop-floor systems to data platforms and data lakes.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable operational insights.
  • Comfortable working at the interface between operations, performance teams, and IT/digital functions.
  • Proactive, structured, and curious mindset with strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to onboard and convince diverse stakeholders (site teams, management, IT/digital functions) to drive adoption of data tools and platforms, effectively "selling" the value of data internally.
  • Hands-on experience with industrial systems such as Historian, MES, SCADA, and data visualization tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau, Grafana).
