• 7+ years' experience in the (re)insurance industry required.
• Experience in ILS and cat models is a plus.

AXA IM ALTS - Alternative Credit, Natural Capital & Impact is a major player in alternative credit and impact investing, managing over €55 billion in assets across diversified strategies: CLO, ABS, Significant Risk Transfer (SRT), Insurance Linked Securities (ILS), Mortgages, Leveraged Loans, Natural Capital & Impact through various fund structures, for institutional and family office clients. The teams are based in New York, Paris, and London.

DISCOVER your opportunity

The purpose is to source and analyze deals (cat bonds, collateralized reinsurance, Industry Loss Warranty (ILW)...) by developing relationships with brokers, banks and ceding companies (insurers, reinsurers and potentially corporates). The analysis of the deals and the management of the portfolio will be done using the ILS front office tool called Ouranos. The Portfolio Manager - Analyst will also participate in discussions with investors (answers to the clients, roadshows...)

Sourcing of private deals

• Relationship development with brokers (RI, ILW...)
• Discussions with (re)insurers and corporates
• Leverage on his/her relationships to source business
• Discussions with counterparties to explain the setup with fronters (XL Re, Hannover Re) and transformers (Artex Re) (reinsurance contract, collateral...)

Deals and portfolios analysis

• Deals analysis (modelling, documentation...)
• Discussions with the counterparties (brokers, banks, ceding companies...)
• Discussions internally on the deal documentation (Legal, RM, Compliance...)
• Presentation and participation to the Investment Committee
• Allocation between the funds proposal
• Responsible for the management of several funds: optimization, allocation proposal...

Relationships with clients/prospects

• Answers to the clients and sales
• Participation in the preparation of the presentation
• Participation in the RFPs
• Participation in roadshows/presentations to clients and prospects

Participation in the development of the front office tool (Ouranos) and operational tasks

• Recommendations for new functionalities into the front office tool (Ouranos) developed by the IT department
• Proposal for other analysis tools (to be developed by the analysts)
• Potentially support to other operational tasks

Your Profile

SHARE your unique expertise

We welcome different combinations of skills & experiences.

• 7+ years' experience in the (re)insurance industry: extensive experience in reinsurance and insurance, with a deep understanding of industry practices and regulations
• Experience in the ILS space would be a plus: expertise in Insurance-Linked Securities, including structuring and managing ILS products
• Experience of cat models (RMS, AIR...): proficient in using catastrophe modeling tools like RMS and AIR for risk assessment
• Fluent in English: strong command of English, both written and spoken, for effective communication
• Well organized and rigorous: highly organized with a meticulous approach to tasks and detail-oriented work
• Sense of initiative: proactively identifies and drives improvements and innovations
• Team spirit: collaborative team player who values and contributes to group efforts
• Ability to communicate complex ideas to various audiences
