The role involves developing case strategies, drafting submissions, and direct client engagement. Associate – International Arbitration Location: Paris (hybrid working with 3 days per week office based)Practice Area: International ArbitrationSalary: €180-275k (neg) plus bonuses and excellent benefits packageOur client is a leading Tier 1 international arbitration practice dedicated to resolving complex, high-value cross-border disputes.We are seeking a qualified and experienced international arbitration lawyer with demonstrable expertise in both arbitration proceedings and arbitration-related court litigation.Qualification as a solicitor or barrister.~3-8 years post-qualification experience in international arbitration and related litigation.~ Familiarity with CPR procedures and practices applicable in the English courts.~ A strong academic background, ideally including postgraduate legal education.~ Fluent in French and EnglishSolid understanding of the principal international arbitration rules and procedural frameworks.Excellent communication and client handling skills , with confidence liaising directly with clients, tribunals, experts, and opposing counsel.Exceptional attention to detail , time management, and ability to perform under pressure in high-stakes matters.As an Associate, you will play a central role in advising and representing clients in high-profile, multi-jurisdictional disputes involving transnational commercial contracts and investment treaties.Leading elements of case preparation, including developing legal strategy and case theory in collaboration with partners.Taking a lead role in drafting complex written submissions , and coordinating input from more junior lawyers as appropriate.Assisting in the preparation of witness and expert evidence , including strategic assessments and procedural compliance.Liaising directly with clients, witnesses, experts, tribunals, courts, and opposing counsel throughout all stages of proceedings.This is a pivotal opportunity for an experienced arbitration lawyer to contribute meaningfully to some of the most complex and significant international disputes in the field.
