Job summary

IFP Energies nouvelles - Lyon invites engineering interns to gain hands-on experience with Aveva Process Simulation, converting Pro/II models to APS and performing sensitivity studies on hydrogen transport and purification processes.

You will verify feature parity, port VBA macros to Python, and author a user guide to enable smooth APS adoption; the internship lasts 6 months at the Lyon site and offers a gross monthly stipend of 1150€.

Qualifications

• Experience in process simulation (Pro/II, AspenPlus) and familiarity with programming (Python, VBA)
• Quick learner and able to work independently

Responsibilities

• Convert current Pro/II simulations to APS simulations with varying complexity
• Perform sensitivity studies using the developed simulations
• Verify whether Pro/II features are available in APS and propose alternatives
• Write a user guide to enable new users to quickly start with APS
