You will shape our culture, manage all core HR processes, and ensure our systems, tools, and people strategies scale effectively with the company’s growth.Key ResponsibilitiesHuman Resources:Attract and retain top talent through effective recruitment strategiesLead performance management and promote employee well-beingDesign and implement career development frameworksManage and automate HR administration processes (e.g., payroll, expenses, attendance, travel)Ensure compliance with labour regulations in a multicultural, international environmentDefine and monitor HR KPIs such as gender balance, equal pay, and employee engagementCoach and empower managers to grow as leadersSupport diversity, equity, and inclusion initiativesImplement and manage HR tools and platforms suitable for a distributed workforceManage end-to-end payroll operations in collaboration with finance/accounting partnersOffice & Culture Management:Foster and maintain a thriving remote-first work cultureOrganise internal virtual and hybrid events to support connection and moraleAct as a key point of contact for remote operations and asynchronous communication practicesPromote digital efficiency and collaboration, especially through platforms like Slack, Notion, and HRIS toolsRequirementsMinimum:Fluent in both French and English (a third language is a plus)Strong knowledge of French labour law (Master’s degree or PhD preferred)Based in Paris, with the ability to support remote-first operationsProven experience in an HR role within an early-stage startup (Series A–B, under 100 employees)Must have experience working in a remote-only or remote-first environmentMust have implemented HR tools and systems in a start-up contextMust have digital operations expertise, with strong working knowledge of tools such as SlackExperience managing payroll and related administrative processesExcellent communication and organisational skillsProficient in Google Workspace (GSuite) or Microsoft OfficeNice to Have:Background in recruitment or agency experienceScientific training in biology, biotechnology, or computer scienceCoaching certification or demonstrated leadership development experienceOur ValuesWe are:Ambitious: We aim high with concrete technical and business milestonesCreative: We challenge assumptions in a fast-learning, failure-tolerant environmentSupportive: We value team cohesion and mutual respectImpact-driven: We focus on delivering meaningful, effective solutions
