Job Title: HR Manager

As our first-ever HR Manager, you will build and manage all aspects of human resources for our dynamic and fast-paced organization of 30+ employees (growing to 50+ in the upcoming months). This is a unique opportunity for a skilled HR professional with a generalist background and a knack for recruitment to create HR processes, policies, and strategies from the ground up. You’ll be instrumental in attracting top talent, fostering a thriving company culture, and supporting our team as we expand globally.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Recruitment & Talent Acquisition
  2. Lead end-to-end recruitment efforts for diverse roles across the organization, focusing on headhunting top-tier talent.
  3. Develop and implement innovative sourcing strategies to attract candidates aligned with our mission and values.
  4. Build strong talent pipelines for technical and non-technical positions.
  5. Oversee the onboarding process to ensure new hires are set up for success.
  6. Audit and enhance current compensation schemes to ensure competitiveness and market alignment.
  7. Develop performance-oriented bonus structures to reward high-achieving team members.
  8. Provide recommendations to leadership for compensation adjustments and incentive plans to drive engagement and retention.

  10. Design and implement HR policies, procedures, and systems to support business goals.
  11. Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations across all jurisdictions where we operate.
  12. Manage employee records, contracts, and performance evaluations.
  13. Culture & Employee Engagement
  14. Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performance workplace culture.
  15. Act as a trusted advisor to leadership and staff on all people-related matters.
  16. Plan and execute initiatives to enhance employee satisfaction and retention.
  17. Learning & Development
  18. Identify training and development needs across the organization.
  19. Implement programs that promote growth, learning, and leadership development.
  20. Strategic HR Planning
  21. Partner with leadership to forecast workforce needs and align HR strategies with company objectives.
  22. Provide insights and recommendations to improve organizational structure, compensation, and benefits.
  23. Who You Are
  24. Experienced Generalist: You have 5+ years of HR experience covering all facets of the function, especially recruitment and headhunting.
  25. Compensation Strategist: Proven expertise in designing and implementing competitive compensation structures, including performance-based bonuses.
  26. Recruitment Expert: Ability to attract and hire top talent, especially in tech and event management sectors.
  27. Builder: Skilled at creating processes, structures, and systems from scratch in a growing company.
  28. Adaptable: Comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with shifting priorities.
  29. Cultural Champion: Passionate about building and nurturing a positive and engaging workplace culture.
  30. Strong Communicator: Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills in both English and French (preferred).
