We are looking for an HS&E Manager for Southwest to join our team. The person will be based in our Morangis office.

Purpose of the role: You will be responsible for developing and effectively implementing HSE policies and procedures, and for fostering a sustainable HSE culture across the Southwest region (Belgium, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, and Portugal). The role reports to our Global HS&E Manager with a dotted line to our regional Operations Director.

What you will do:

1. Lead the development of Health & Safety Leadership & Culture in the region.
2. Collaborate with regional and global management teams to implement VELUX safety guidelines and policies.
3. Establish processes and policies for active health and safety monitoring and support local H&S programs, ensuring compliance with local legislative requirements.
4. Ensure adherence to policies, procedures, and standards.
5. Serve as the primary contact in the region for injury and incident notification, investigation, root cause analysis, and incident management, including implementing lessons learned.
6. Assist and deliver HSE training to staff.
7. Evaluate new safety technologies and monitor the distribution of safety equipment.
8. Promote and facilitate key safety initiatives, such as the implementation of the reporting system in 2025.
9. Assist in HSE induction for new starters and existing employees.
10. Support HSE internal and external audit programs as required.
11. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to drive HSE agenda topics (P&O, CHSCT, Facilities, wider management teams).

Skills and experience required:

1. Minimum 5 years of experience working with HSE, preferably in an international environment.
2. Ability to encourage and coach others on compliance with legislation and VELUX standards.
3. Experience working across multicultural and matrix environments.
4. Excellent communication skills in French, fluent in English, and proficiency in another EU language.
5. University degree in a related discipline preferred.
6. Effective administrator: organized and methodical.
7. Experience with ISO 45001 or similar standards is a plus.
8. Proficient with MS Office packages.
9. Willingness to travel up to 30 days per year.
