Our client, an international Operating company, is currently seeking a HSE Advisor for a major project in Mozambique, working from their office in Paris.
Job Role Will Include:
- Provide support to the Upstream HSE Manager in executing the Project HSE Plan.
- Stand-in for the Upstream HSE Manager during absences, providing leadership in HSSE performance and compliance, monitoring performance, implementing corrective measures, and proactively enhancing good performance across Upstream/EPCI activities.
- Support the HSE Audit plan for project installation vessels and onshore sites, submitting findings and recommendations for improvement, and ensuring timely closure of audit actions.
- Participate in HAZID and other risk assessment studies relevant to work activities.
- Monitor and manage work tasks with external consultants and contractors as required.
- Ensure all HSE activities comply with project technical requirements and are fit for purpose.
- Support HSE teams in Mozambique (onshore/offshore) and Egypt, aligned with project phases and ensuring contractor delivers HSE documentation and reports on time.
- Follow up on incident investigation reports within Synergi and develop/send REX reports to Affiliate HSE.
- Report Contractor HSE statistics and KPIs to Affiliate HSE.
- Manage Lizzy training profiles and update HSE Pass (Training & FTW).
- Administer DiWinci inputs (FTW, BOSIET, Sea Survival compliance).
Accountabilities:
- Manage Upstream/EPCI HSE scope delivery and team during project execution.
- Ensure safe and timely delivery of HSE scope with high quality, supporting a project design life of 20 years.
- Ensure compliance with Company HSE Golden Rules and requirements across all activities.
Experience Required:
- Minimum 10 years in Oil & Gas industry with HSE experience in large-scale EPCI contracts involving offshore pipeline/SURF work; recognized HSE qualification (NEBOSH diploma or equivalent).
- Ability to lead HSE investigations, establish root causes, and implement learnings; conduct detailed HSE audits.
- Proven ability to develop collaborative relationships with contractors and personnel.
- Leadership and management experience with a track record in pipeline/SURF engineering, installation, and pre-commissioning activities.
- Ability to assess and challenge contractor HSE performance constructively.
- Fluent in English, capable of representing the project professionally to stakeholders.
- Tertiary qualification in sciences or engineering preferred.
- Valid BOSIET and OGUK Offshore Medical certifications.
