Managing platform updates, infrastructure changes, and controlled deployments for HR Access
Position Overview
We are looking for a HRIS Change & Release Manager to lead and coordinate the change management and deployment processes for HR Access (Sopra HR) platform and its supporting infrastructure. This role ensures seamless updates, patches, and configuration changes are implemented with minimal disruption while maintaining compliance with organizational policies and ITIL best practices.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience managing HRIS platform lifecycle, change control, and infrastructure upgrades in a regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities
Change Management & Control
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee change requests related to the HR Access platform and associated infrastructure
- Implement structured change management processes, including risk assessment, impact analysis, and approval workflows
- Maintain change logs, documentation, and audit trails to ensure traceability and compliance
- Communicate change schedules, impact, and mitigation plans to stakeholders across HR, IT, and business units
Release & Deployment Management
- Manage the release lifecycle of HR Access platform upgrades, patches, hotfixes, and configuration changes
- Collaborate with development, QA, and infrastructure teams to validate and deploy updates in test, staging, and production environments
- Coordinate maintenance windows and rollback plans to minimize service disruption
Platform & Infrastructure Oversight
- Monitor HR Access system health and infrastructure stability, recommending capacity upgrades or performance tuning as needed
- Collaborate with infrastructure and security teams on platform availability, backups, and disaster recovery plans
- Support environment provisioning and infrastructure updates in coordination with cloud/on-prem teams
Governance & Compliance
- Ensure all changes adhere to ITIL, organizational policies, and data protection regulations
- Facilitate regular audits and compliance reviews related to change management and platform updates
- Provide training and guidance on change control best practices for HRIS support teams
Required Qualifications
Technical & Process Skills
- 6+ years experience in change and release management, preferably with HRIS platforms such as HR Access (Sopra HR)
- Solid understanding of ITIL change management frameworks and best practices
- Experience coordinating cross-functional teams during platform updates and infrastructure changes
- Knowledge of HR Access platform architecture, patching, and upgrade processes
- Familiarity with incident management and problem resolution in enterprise environments
Soft Skills
- Strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work under pressure and coordinate multiple concurrent change projects
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality and compliance
Preferred Qualifications
- Certifications in ITIL Foundation or Change Management
- Experience working in public sector or highly regulated environments
- Basic understanding of infrastructure technologies supporting HR Access (Windows/Linux servers, databases, networking)
- Knowledge of HR business processes and data privacy regulations
