You will report to the HR & Payroll Ops Lead.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Contributing to ensuring that Descartes employees have a smooth experience
  • Managing HR Operations for key processes of the employee lifecycle
  • Supporting Onboarding Operations: producing work contracts for new joiners, monitoring trial period end dates for appropriate conversations with managers
  • Supporting absences operations for employees (sick leave, time off, etc.)
  • Assisting with administrative management of offboardings
  • Contributing to monthly payroll & benefits operations with senior HR team members
  • Managing payroll processes, working with payroll providers in France and abroad
  • Ensuring social taxes are properly calculated, controlled, and paid in coordination with Finance
  • Tracking employee benefit allowances (e.g., transportation, meal plans)
  • Continuously improving HR processes through automation and simplification using no-code tools, Excel automations, or best practices
  • Supporting communication strategies related to payroll and HR operations, including documentation and responding to employee FAQs (e.g., time off, sick leave, payroll)

Qualifications include:

  • Experience in an HR department, ideally focusing on HR Operations and/or Payroll
  • Fluency in French and English (oral and written)
  • Ability to work in an international, multicultural environment respecting different regulations and laws
