Une entreprise en pleine croissance recherche un(e) Human Resources & Office Manager pour diriger l'excellence opérationnelle et culturelle au sein d'une équipe à distance. Vous serez responsable de la gestion de tous les processus RH, de la conformité juridique et de la promotion d'une culture d'entreprise collaborative. Job Title: Human Resources & Office Manager

Location: Fully Remote - Must have full remote or remote-first experience and French labour law knowledge

Employment Type: Full-time

Role Overview

Looking for a proactive and strategic Human Resources & Office Manager (HRO Manager) to lead HR and operational excellence across a remote-first team. You will shape our culture, manage all core HR processes, and ensure our systems, tools, and people strategies scale effectively with the company’s growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Human Resources: Attract and retain top talent through effective recruitment strategies; lead performance management; promote employee well-being; design and implement career development frameworks; manage and automate HR administration processes (e.g., payroll, expenses, attendance, travel); ensure compliance with labour regulations in a multicultural, international environment; define and monitor HR KPIs such as gender balance, equal pay, and employee engagement; coach and empower managers; support diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives; implement and manage HR tools and platforms for a distributed workforce; manage end-to-end payroll operations in collaboration with finance/accounting partners.
  • Office & Culture Management: Foster and maintain a thriving remote-first work culture; organise internal virtual and hybrid events; act as a key contact for remote operations and asynchronous communication; promote digital efficiency and collaboration through platforms like Slack, Notion, and HRIS tools.
Requirements
  • Fluent in both French and English (a third language is a plus)
  • Strong knowledge of French labour law (Master’s degree or PhD preferred)
  • Based in Paris, with the ability to support remote-first operations
  • Proven experience in an HR role within an early-stage startup (Series A–B, under 100 employees)
  • Experience working in a remote-only or remote-first environment
  • Experience implementing HR tools and systems in a startup context
  • Strong digital operations expertise, with working knowledge of tools like Slack
  • Managing payroll and administrative processes
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Proficient in Google Workspace (GSuite) or Microsoft Office
Nice to Have
  • Background in recruitment or agency experience
  • Scientific training in biology, biotechnology, or computer science
  • Coaching certification or leadership development experience
