DESCRIPTION

The AWS Data Center Operations (DCO) Builder Experience Team (BeXT) is evolving its HR organization to enhance the builder (employee) experience, support growth, and improve HR effectiveness. BeXT is a centralized team of HR partners serving as the first point of contact for builders and managers, collaborating with HRBPs to execute the people agenda. This team significantly impacts the employee experience of thousands in our data centers and aims to deliver an optimal builder experience for the benefit of customers and employees.

The DCO BeXT organization focuses on customer-centric, personalized experiences at scale, leveraging technology and streamlined processes to match business agility. We strive to foster an environment where employees can thrive and realize their potential.

We are seeking an EMEA Leader for the BeXT DCO Team. This leader will report to the Sr HRM based in the United States, managing 3-5 EMEA Directors and supporting builder needs directly in our Data Centers. AWS Data Centers are crucial for AWS’s excellence, driven by talented employees committed to high standards and customer obsession.

This is a full-time, on-site position, with travel requirements of approximately 30% annually.

Key job responsibilities

1. Develop Team Capabilities - Enhance individual and team expertise in core HR processes, provide growth opportunities, and support career development.
2. Build Operating Models & Strategic Plans - Oversee the operation of a global HRP team to meet quality, convenience, and scalability goals.
3. Experiment & Deliver Results - Research best practices and implement process improvements that benefit managers.
4. Operational Excellence - Investigate issues thoroughly, own process improvements, and ensure high-quality experiences.
5. Measure & Inspect - Define success metrics and monitor service health to inform leadership.
6. Innovate & Build - Identify gaps and develop business cases for new services and efficiencies.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's Degree
• 10+ years of HR or related experience
• Experience in implementing HR processes and solutions in complex environments
• People management experience
• Experience working with employee representative bodies

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Master's degree
• International experience
• Experience managing leaders of leaders
• Proven record of operational process improvement and high customer satisfaction
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
• Strategic thinking with ability to analyze costs, risks, and outcomes
• Excellent analytical skills and experience with data metrics
• Independent issue resolution and accountability
• Customer service orientation and ability to manage multiple stakeholders
• Excellent communication skills, influencing decision-makers and managing expectations
