Responsibilities:

  1. Build and foster relationships across all levels of management to become their primary contact on people-related issues.
  2. Support employees through all milestones of the employee lifecycle from onboarding to offboarding.
  3. Implement recommended employee engagement and retention strategies for assigned employee populations.
  4. Provide guidance to management and employees by interpreting company policies and employment laws, ensuring consistency with expected practices.
  5. Facilitate and support the performance management and compensation review processes while serving as an advisor to leaders and managers.
  6. Conduct thorough internal investigations related to employee issues and bring them to resolution.
  7. Manage leaves of absence in accordance with FMLA, ADA, and state-mandated laws, including managing accommodation cases.
  8. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations in accordance with company policies and practices.
  9. Evaluate and recommend revised internal processes to increase efficiency.
  10. Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partner with the legal department as needed.
  11. Provide guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning, and succession planning.
  12. Integrate and maintain programs based on mergers and acquisitions related to business decisions made at the time of acquisition.
  13. Maintain and integrate employee benefits programs, inform employees of benefit updates/changes, recommend benefit programs to management, direct the processing of open enrollment and onboarding of new hires/terminations, participate in benefit renewal bids, and design and conduct educational programs on benefit programs.
  14. Process benefits and 401k transitions for various entities.
  15. Ensure accurate record keeping by maintaining and updating the Recruiting Report and Organizational Charts.
  16. Maintain electronic employee files and submit changes in employee information to payroll as needed.
  17. Assist with HR department projects and events as needed.

Required Skills / Experience:

  1. 8+ years minimum experience in Human Resources.
  2. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
  3. Strong interpersonal communication, coaching, and listening skills, critical writing and thinking skills, an open-minded approach, and ability to think on one's feet.
  4. Strong organizational skills; creative problem solver; detail-oriented; accurate proofreader.
  5. Highly collaborative with an emphasis on being a team player.
  6. Strong analytical, reporting, and presentation skills.
  7. Ability to deal with ambiguity, tight deadlines, multiple priorities, and demanding environments.
  8. Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).
  9. Travel required, 20% - 30%.
  10. In office required 4-5 days per week.

Preferred Skills / Experience:

  1. PHR / SPHR or SHRM-CP / SHRM SCP highly desired.
  2. Experience in a professional services industry preferred.
  3. Experience with ADP or other HRIS systems preferred.
  4. Bi-lingual (English / Spanish) preferred.
